This is a vintage crazy quilt top Mabel made from feedsack, her husband Bernard's shirts & rich chocolate brown and royal blue cotton poplin. Done in the "Patchwork of the Crosses" pattern, this is all hand pieced and does have some spots. I think they'd wash clean out but I would want to baste and quilt it before laundering, since those hand pieced seams get so mad when you wash them! The feedsacks are bright and beautiful having never been used yet and this would make an incredible gift!
